In practicing body positivity, I am seeing for the first time how beauty really does come in all shapes and sizes.
Sitting on the beach in Cyprus, waiting for family, I look around and for the first time, it really strikes me. The conscious effort I have been making to embrace body positivity really has begun to shed the scales from my eyes. I no longer look about me with judgment formed from my own insecurity. Instead, I see what is really there. The astounding beauty of happiness.
Beauty is animation and love and togetherness. Family and fun. Playing and exploring. It’s not posing and perfection, sweat and beach bodies. It’s wobbles and quirks, confidence and life.
