Up Side’s Down Now

She thought it was too heavy, she thought she carried rocks. She said “this sickness that I feel inside, must surely come from rot?”

“But it looks like something’s growing there,” someone else had said. And she didn’t think it could be growth, because it felt like death.

But everything’s not what it seems when minds are out at sea. And sometimes bitter, wrenching pain can bring forth astounding beauty.
